  • Idiossincratic, personal, the pure humanity.

That's Yudina, the most spiritual on the female pianists. The terror of Stalin's Russia is reflected on his interpretations (for a good example, Schubert's D960 Piano Sonata). Thanks to Truecrypt.

  • Would you know this is a female playing if you had not known it is Maria Yudina?

  • Marvelous!

  • @tHEnOOSEsWING

Maybe it's because Yudina is good, and Yudina also happens to be female?

  • Elly Ney left recordings ?I'm hoping oneday to catch a helicopter to heaven and see Haskil sitting to GOD"Sright I only wonder what people are talking about.Lipatti adored her so my soul is obviously declasse. • Beautiful.

Thank you Truecrypt for Yudina, Richter, Sofronitsky, many others, and of course your own recordings.

  • A most devoted and sincere artist. No wonder Dmitri Shostakovich praised her unique ability as a pianist. We are lucky to have the opportunity to hear her recordings. Thanks Truecrypt for sharing this wonderful rendition.

  • Thank you so much

  • thank you yet again, it's one of my most loved of Beethoven sonatas, and I heard many things I hadn't before, esp. in 1st movement...

As we know, many famous pianists commented on this sonata's hazards, including Richter. We could beg truecrypt to upload a performance by him too, but probably, it's already coming ;)

  • That's true, and we can add one more name: Annie Fischer.
