  • @foxbodyallmotor Its okay. We understand how people put a Chevy engine in their car to slow it down a little when its too fast with a Ford engine in it.

    ;D

  • @B0SSNINE i think so too.

  • @jordtizzle The new one i'm pretty sure is a 306, which is 5.0.

    ;D

  • @B0SSNINE the old 5.0 was actually 4.9***, dont know about the new one tho

  • @B0SSNINE Actually its 4.9422L which makes the cubic inch displacement 301.59.. But who really cares because nobody keeps these motors stock anyway

  • @athespen engine size does matter in certain aspects. Like full blown top fullies aren't makin 7000hp on 1.6l, they have 600+ cubic inchers. Never seen a honda in person make over 900hp

  • @saludahead Well my dad's been a technician for Ford since '81 and if you look around the internet (not the greatest source, though!) 302's are technically 4.9L. Since 61.02 * 5 is 305, a 302 doesn't quite hit 5L. Ford only called it a 5.0 to actually distinquish it's V8 from it's I6. When I said they weren't the same (302 vs. 5.0) I was talking about how the flywheel, cam, heads, pistons, dampers, intake (and honestly, about 99% of the engine) were different. Which they were.

  • FORD BUILT TOUGHT,,,,,GM= ALMOST WHEN BROKE! hahahahaha

  • @insanemethod1 So you're saying neither the BOSS 429, or the SOHC measure up to Chevy's over stroked dump truck motor? You're shittin' me right?

I hate to bust your little Chevy-lovers dream, but Grumpy Jenkins is already screaming to NHRA about Jon Kaase's new BOSS heads! Kaase's already building 500 inch motors motors that are turning insane power. Come spring time, Grumpy's going to have a bad day!

  • @B0SSNINE No, son, a 4.9 is an inline six cylinder engine, which got used in trucks a lot!

  • @B0SSNINE Son, take it from an old Mechanic, who's built more Ford motors, than you have ever seen! Except for the cams, harmonic dampers, and flywheels, I can take any part off of a 302, and bolt it right on a 5.0! THEY ARE THE SAME MOTOR!!!!
