Good Adice on the best way to understand is to experience in the field. All of you that are saying this is stupid video and this sucks you shouldnt have even found this video in the first place if your so damm good. Get off your pedestal and make your own video.

Here, let me help.
Aperture is measured by f stops or "f/".
f/1.4 = Large aperture, sharp subject, silky smooth blurred background, fast lens .
f/2.8 = Large aperture, sharp subject, smooth blurred background, fast lens.
f/3.5 = Medium aperture, sharp subject, blurred background, okay speed.
f/4.0 = Medium aperture, sharp subject, blurry background, not superman.
f/5.0 = Smaller aperture, sharp subject, background recognisable, slower.
f/22 = tiny aperture, almost everything in focus, snail. etc
