@kf8295 i left, i dont understand either. ppl were busting down doors and breaking through metal sheeting store owners had up to protect their businesses, yet these same "able bodied" individuals couldnt leave. wtf, maybe they learned their lesson.

@kf8295 That wasn't the case with Katrina. It hit on a Monday. Noon the Friday before it was forecast to hit the Florida panhandle.

I don't know about you, but if I knew about a Category 5 hurricane coming directly at me, a week+ beforehand, I would leave.

And I'm sure conditions in the Superdome and Convention Center was as bad as we heard about. Why didn't people just LEAVE?
