Hi Lane, I read your comment box and it said that if I went to your blog, it would indicate WHY you were able to get this ability from Youtube to be able to upload 1hr long videos. You said it was something about partnership but could you please explain further. Is anyone else also able to do this? What kind of partnership? the small commercial images? That doesn't sound so bad as long as the ads aren't out of line.

Yeah, I was going to write it here, but you're not the first to ask me about it so I'll update the post and talk more about partnerships.

I pretty much stopped "celebrating" Christmas a few years ago. I buy two or three small gifts and send out a dozen cards. That's it. I got so tired of the rat race that had NOTHING to do with Christ. Now when people are running around going to parties and spending money they can't afford, I just relax and read a book. It's much more pleasant, and I am missing nothing! Nothing but fat and debt and being pushed and pulled to "celebrate" something that has totally lost it's real meaning.

also, I am SO glad you brought christmas up. I am really trying to re-evaluate worshiping the whole idea of Christmas and focusing on just giving gifts out of love and treating it like another day- because in my opinion- this is the WORST holiday in America. someone once told me santa= satan. I believe it.

I'm not sure if those are Christmas decorations, but if they are, he's already given a sermon on Christmas and if we should celebrate it or not. He shares a 30 min or so documentary that explains the pagan origins of Christmas so I'm not sure if the plants are placed there for that reason. I may be wrong, though. Also, I may post that video later tonight.

Lane you can erase my post but just a question about this video for you. Doesn't it seem contradictory that he is speaking of the value of proper worship without the distractions and yet doesn't seem like the regulative principle of worship is in place with all the Christmas decorations in front of the pulpit? It's a sincere question as I strongly value the regulative principle of worship and hold it highly and since this video seems to point that direction, it seemed a bit opposite.
