Angry little hedgehogs

04-May-2008: I was wondering what was making that strange noise and shaking the branches of the bushes at my backyard. It turned out to be a "fight" between two hedgehogs, males defending their territory I guess. Don't know their ages, but I think the whiter one (which I call Lumipallo, Snowball) is the younger one. Other one (Punapiikki, Red Sting) looks older and has a bit more messy appearance. Not sure when they finally ended their argue and who was the winner, but these little dudes really were devoted on their business. They did not care much about me, I was even able to touch both of them and they did not react to that. I was following their activities about 2 hours, don't know when have they started... guess they really had too much free time :) Hope they survive over the winter and I will see them again next spring.
