  • To clarify to some of you, the post I made about the jets was not to imply that they made this sound. I was just observing their presence AFTER the phenomenon. It was the second time I had heard this sound, but this time 3000 miles from the first site. Thanks for all the interest in this vid people, I never thought anyone would see it or even care to try to explain. Seems like this sound keeps popping up around the world.

    watch?v=eqQcg7e8eYc&feature=related

just google thrust reversal and click the first link...

  • @ronpack Ron chill out man. Did I ever say that all these strange sounds are trumpets of heaven or anything like that? I don't think so. I am sure that they may have something to do with what you are talking about. I just don't see how a turbine engine can run backwards, that's all. If you can tell me how they do that, please tell me, I am genuinely interested. No need to get all uptight about it.

oh, and one more thing, I'm going on 40 years old and have been hearing this sound my entire life! I have also lived near air bases and air ports so I know for a FACT what causes these sounds. not to mention I was an industrial electrician and have heard all the other "weird" sounds that are posted on youtube and other websites. you people are nothing but fear mongers looking to get people to buy books or get "hits" to their youtube account for money!!!!!!! FU!!!!

  • @heatplant1234

who cares what plane it is?! get your HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS and go to the nearest air force base or airport and ask THEM! geezuz people like you SUCK! don't attack me, go do your own damn research and quit relying on all the friggin lies on the internet!!!!!

  • @ronpack you're kidding me! What kind of plane are you talking about? I suppose a propellor plane can change the pitch of the blade, but I don't see why that would make it any louder than normal.

  • it's aircraft engine maintenance. they find out what is wrong by how the engine sounds. it gets VERY loud and travels for miles when they run them backwards.

  • @triciasock81 do you know what crickets sound like?
