You probably had low grain bullets which is why it dident kick too hard. But you probably know that. I know that when i shoot at the range to sight it in every year before deer season. I wake up the next morning with a sore and bruised shoulder.

i would say start with a .243 i had one as first gun and had a (and still do) have a blast with it

@bharlan2002 I hear you, I started with a 7mm Mag, and it has instilled the fear of God in me. I have worked some of the flinching out with a lot of practicing with 7.62x39 CZ 858

Not bad at all as i said in the vid.
Typically the gun has around 20LBS of recoil. So it blows me back about 4 inches. Very easy to adjust to. But its too damn fun to shoot
