There are many in the Church and also in academia who state there is only one reference to dowsing in the Bible. That is in Hosea 4:12 and reads, "My people consult their wooden idol, and their diviner's wand informs them; for a spirit of harlotry has led them astray, and they have played the harlot, departing from their God.",©1995) From this verse they have concluded that the use of a divining wand is an abomination to God.

The best thing to do when you do this in my opinion, is have no bias judgment towards the question you ask, this would definitely alter the answer. Try to ask the question, and clear the mind. This allows no interference and the power of spirit to work through you, instead of your perceived judgment on the subject. :) just saying :)
