He describes the KIND of people he hates- he hates what they do, what they've become- he doesn't hate THEM in specific.
But like, that's totally beside the point. I must love this song to little itty bitty bits and pieces.

@LettheNationsBeGlad then why did Jesus die for everyone. He didnt die just to save the gentiles, he died to save EVERYONE. Now why would he do that if he didnt love everyone?

@bondservant4jesus God hates the sin, not the sinner. he love us very much. He is love! Says so in the Bible. This song tells us that God isn't at our level, but he still loves us very much. He's not a human so we shouldn't think of him as one. Jesus was fully human and fully God, but that's the only point in the history of time, when we could say he was a just a man. God is God, and we well never really know these things while we are still here, so no point fighting about it.

@bondservant4jesus Completely agree! I'm glad someone else finally understands that "God loves the sinner but hates the sin" is very unbiblical

@bunyen23 Methinks you need to read that list again, because He describes two types of people that He hates in it. Verse nineteen (Proverbs 6:16-19; I'm quoting from the NKJV) - "A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren."
Also, Psalms 5:5-6 (NKJV again):
5 The boastful shall not stand in Your sight;
You hate all workers of iniquity.
6 You shall destroy those who speak falsehood;
The LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
