  • What do you tie the ends to? or how do you tie it?

  • @TheHoneyfrog

The tie can be difficult alone on some shirts - so get some help if you need to...

but I just tie that string into a knot... like your shoes when you get a knot in them.

Any knot that will stay tight - then I cut it when it is rinse time - or let it slip off...

  • what do you mean by tie dye is not a long term spectator sport?

  • @i1234t1234

Well, unless everyone can participate, it can get boring after a while just standing around watching.

Depends on the crowd and the scene...

  • Is this the Grateful Dead?

  • Sorry, not sure of the actual show... but yes it is The Dead... you can look up the city it is from... Dick's Picks Volume 17 is the album compelation.

  • you have good music taste my friend

  • ...I usually die each quarter a different color. Very cool. Your demo was very good. LOVE the music. You have great taste. Peace.

  • Cool stuff. It took me a long time to get my spider fold right. My spider pattern was always upside down. When you fold your shirt in half as you have shown, if your sleeves are on the right, pinch the material and spin in a counterclockwise direction or if your sleeves are on your left after folding the shirt, pinch the material and spin in a clockwise direction. I tie my bundle across the middle in pie wedges, at least in quarters, then die one side all black (spider) and the other side.......

  • I love your vids!!! Thanks for taking the time to show us newbies some options we have...Roll away the dew!!!

  • hehe I love how you go round the table! I hope you change direction each time, or you could get dizzy o.O hehe

That spider one is really kool btw! I like the 2 colour spider.. do you have vids of how the reverse spider turns out?
