This video was made for the PayPal Developer's challenge - the idea was to come up with an idea using Paypal - Save This Place is a gps based photo game that lets you own a piece of the earth and be part of an effort to raise $1 Billion dollars for good causes. We've divided the earth up into 7 billion equally sized piece of land - using your gps capable phone you go to your favorite spot and take a photo. If no one else has claimed that spot you can purchase it for $1 using PayPals easy payment system. You add the story of why it's important to you, and share it with your friends via twitter or facebook. Virtual and Real world games add to the ongoing experience - sponsors hide prizes at real world sites, and 'Where is Carmen Sanmateo' puts players on virtual earth treks.
