This is an old Westinghouse fan from the 1920's. I got this for $25.00 at an antique fair in Clovis Ca. It was froze up, the wiring was all bad, the paint was very bad and it had lots of surface rust. I took it completely apart, sanded all surfaces, re painted all parts individually. I also re-wired it. It has 3 speeds and it oscillates. I originally thought it was from the 1950's but was recently advised that it may be from 1926. Thanks Nate!

  • @50pearcy Thank You! Much appreciated.

  • Thank you Oldfans1, it was some work to get it apart but so worth it. We use it everyday in the summer.

  • Awesome restoration! How the heck did you get the motor out to replace that wire? They are usually in there really tight....!

  • This fan is from the 1920s. You mentioned 1950s for it. It's design is not even Streamlined as in the 1930s Fans let alone 1950s. You got a REALLY GOOD DEAL on this!!! What a BEAUTIFUL RESTORATION!!! Great Job Brian!!!----Your Pal, Brian Barrett Kerfoot

  • @MrSkullsnGuns Thank you! I got the cloth covered power wire from RADIO DAZE. I bought a 50ft roll for only $23.50. Radio Daze is on line, so look em up. They have lots of cool stuff. Do you have any idea how to tell the date of manufacture on my fan?

    Thanks,

    Brian Cass

  • Very nice restore job, where did you get your cloth cover wire? I need to change my fan's head wire, because it's pretty stiff and fraying in some places.
