When we say Warbonnets, we mean Santa Fe! Take a look at these high-tech red and silver Warbonnets in action - and theres no better place to do so than the challenging prairies and mountain passes of the Southern Colorado and New Mexico desert. The rugged passes of Raton and Glorieta are a test of strength and power for the "super fleet" diesels which pull both freight and modern Amtrak trains on this the busy line.

I got to see this line a little bit in '94/'95 right around the time of the merger. It really had some great action back then, and now with the exception of the small portion used by the NM Rail Runner between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, it's practically abandoned today.

It would be such a treat if they made AC44CW's in the traditional Blue-Yellow scene. I only saw one in Hobbytown, USA in N-scale.

@linkfan95 I hear you. Miss the ol' ATSF. "Chico" was the gold standard in American railroading!

does line run through trinidad colorado? because, if it does, there is now more freight service through there anymore... it all go to la junta colorado, then comes down into new mexico.

Man this is a faded memory. The first rail company I ever loved growing up in the 90's. It was the most Amazing thing. Then look what happens. A bunch of Limp-Dicks by the name of Burlington Northern Targets ATSF for a Merge that would ruin Someones Life. Like Mine.
