  • God bless the British for holding out while we got our heads out of isolationist asses. VE day was your victory above all others.

  • The British Empire, America and the Allies saved the World from the bloody Nazi Crusade against mankind. It was the greatest achievement of our salvation.

That future generations never forget the efforts of all the brave men who gave their lives to save mankind from total termination by an evil force guided by madness and powered by hate. Churchill indeed taught a lesson Mr. Hitler and his NaziThugs never forgot!

God Bless the former British Empire(current UK).

  • The British empire was just as bad as a Nazi one. Both have more than their fair share of dogmatic followers and more than their fair share of blood on their hands from genocides, wars etc.

  • Thanks Guys!

  • Back when the British people gave a damn. Puts to shame today's Britain. If another VE day existed, you'd have some Muslims burning the Union Jack today with the police looking idly by...that is until you burn a Koran.

  • @Durgyburg yeah hindsight is 20/20...WW1 was still fresh in people's minds and didn't seem to change much and unfortunately sometimes its human nature to "not get involved" and bury their collective heads in the sand...as opposed to being fearless, confident and being morally consistent. Depending on your perception of what was unfolding in europe and asia...i could imagine myself being against entering the war....it just depends on the quality and quantity of knowledge of Britains perdicament

  • wow there was nothing but pure love and friendliness saturating the crowd..."historic day" does not even come close to the magical vibe that was freely floating and intoxicating the crowd. Everyone was well dressed and looked very attractive!!

I watch ww2 docs all the time, focused on combat, aircraft, atrocities and doom but I've never actually watched extensive color footage of VE day London waiting for Churchill, my god how;EPIC

This video made me soooooo happy. thanx
