Journey

Radiating fearful notions of escape
Hope infiltrates but fails to shape
Black then white never a mixing gray
Suffocated the message she fails to relay
Praying a brief moment of reprieve
Begging happiness a chance to achieve
A tearful alliance with tomorrow's thief
Depression will take, leaving only grief
Steadily walking an unpleasant line
Defying upon any suggestion to resign
So goes the endless search
Forced about, a continuous lurch
Embarking upon a healthier stance
Caught in the tide of a twisted dance
Gravitating towards a deadly desire
Longing much a restful retire
Forcedly apprehended in transition
Redirected a lasting position
Cognitive awareness takes hold
Awaiting a direction indifferent a scold
Floating or flying what difference does it make
As long as these nightmares she can forever shake.
