  • How can i apply this to electric guitar with a pick?

  • @dieandgoaway you can't.

With a pick you'll have to use down-up-down strokes.

    Sweeping can help as well.

  • how do you improve right hand speed?

  • Well, several things. First you want to practice some speed bursts to progressively increase right hand velocity. But the real thing is to not accentuate all the notes. Only the first and last one of a lick... Other ones being just flawing from the 1st note of your scale/lick.

  • I noticed that some players rest their thumb on the low E string while playing scales. Some others don't. Is it individual thing or is it the different school of classical guitar playing?

  • Hi there,

Like you said, some do some don't. Just try for a while both techinical approach and see what you are comfortable with.

    Cheerios!

  • A thumbpick is soooo much easier and let's you play soooo much faster.

  • Thanks for answering. For what I have seen from your website you are a quite eclectic guitar player who is familiar with many techniques.Come to Croatia!I would definitely pay to hear you play!

  • I dunno - it's a good pattern, but I have to agree with Scott28 - that I would focus more on staying relaxed in both hands - with MINIMUM space between fingers and frett-board

  • excellent explanation - tres bien-

start out slow in increments over some time - and then when your mem muscles processes data to your broin of the new movements- you will be able to play w o even looking .
