Chee-Yun is unsurpassed in her ability to draw rich and nuanced tone color from a violin. We see this when she plays the Ruggieri and when she plays the Stratavarius. I agree with winrx to the extent that I sure would like to hear her play a Guarnerius. Why fight about it? She is a gorgeous woman who can bring gorgeous sounds out of any violin. An intelligent woman with warmth and humor as well as talent. A living treasure. Greg Gibbs or Portland

Outstanding. She has a perfectly sweet sound.
A gentle critique: from about 1:31 on, why do we see plenty of stage floor, but have a partially or completely headless maestro?

I think she's currently playing on a Ruggieri. Now with the powerhouse kind of sound she's producing currently with that instrument, imagine what an upgrade would do - you'd be able to hear her on 7th ave when she plays at Carnegie.

Why do You feel a Guarnerius is finer than her instrument and also why do you feel it is more suited to her?

I'm just wondering how she would sound with a finer instrument esp a Guarnerius, which is more suited to her..!
