I think Bob Geldof is an incredible individual based on his priorities in life such as his children, including his ex's child, Tiger Lilly. What a great example of giving and compassion. I just read several of his bio's and watched some of his interviews and thought how little good deeds are mentioned by the media about celebrities and I see this guy, and wow what an upstanding guy. Thanks Bob
yes your right Bob Geldof is entitled to use the post-nominal letters "KBE", but as he is not a citizen of a Commonwealth realm, he is precluded from using the title "Sir". Regardless, the nickname 'Sir Bob' has stuck, and even media reports will frequently (and erroneously) refer to him as 'Sir Bob Geldof'.
Bob Geldof is not a 'Sir'. He was awarded an Honorary Knighthood given to those not of British birth. As a citizen of the Republic of Ireland he is therefore not a British subject nor entitled to the recognition of knighthood. Please, don't deplete his importance by making him a subject of a foreign monarch.
i cant believe he's irish, i thought i was some weird englishman who miserably failed as he attempted to do his worst American accent. That's shocking
