Hotsuma is a legend I remember how easy it was for me to kick this guys ass with him. This was truly a great game.

@aucita i think its because you beat the series of Shinobi and it noticed how you already have a beaten season of shinobi then it just randomly let you have him

I didn't unlock hotsuma I just beat shinobi and when I got nightshade he was available already.

The best way to unlock Hotsuma is to beat the game on Hard Mode. Thankfully, you don't have to college any Oboro coins to do it. I beaten Hard Mode play as Hisui since her weapon has a longer range, although her combo attacks (when she's repeatedly stabbing enemies with her umbrella) are awfully narrow).

@DJVirgoNeun Hey, question: I'm trying to unlock Hotsuma. I beat the game on normal with Hibana, but I forgot that I had the Shinobi save on a different memory card. Now I copied them both to the same memory card, but Hotsuma is still not unlocked. Does that mean I have to go beat the whole game again to unlock him?
