This is my Lemon Cream Soap. It was made with (remember these are weighed ounces, not cups or liquids)15 oz. grated soap and 2 oz. lemon juice and 7 oz. of water.
This soap came out BEAUTIFUL! :-) And the bag method works so much better with more soap and the 9 oz of liquids.

  • is there any particular reason you mill and remelt?? Im new at this, so I was wondering. Also, can you do that with soap that is already cured and scented?? Thanks, I love your vids!

  • Stainless steel works great as well, just as long as you have one that is 12 quarts. Aluminum will break down because of the lye water. Drea

  • Thanks so much for your help. I do the baggie method always but it has always been with cured soap. I will have to go invest in a stock pot like you have... all I have is my stainles steel pots. :)

  • Hey Kimmy :o), I have rebatched (handmilled) CP and it does NOT have to cure completely to be rebatched. Depending on the way you are going to heat the soap, like melted by pot method or done in the baggie, it may not need curing after you are done. It will just sit and dry. do a zap test after your rebatch is complete and see if it is cured, thats what I do :o) do the oven way instead of the crockpot, no volcano effect :o)

  • Hi sweetie... Do you let your CP soap cure completely before you can rebatch? I made a batch last week and want to rebatch but I have never rebatched a "uncured" bar. They are pretty hard bars... olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter and super fatted with castor oil. Just curious if you ever have?? I am going to try HP soon.... I am just scared of a volcano crockpot. :)

    Kimmy

  • This is SO true lol I started this soap thing as a hobby, something for me to send to family and friends and now people want me to sell them my bars lol
