I was with Braniff II and I lost my job in 1989 - hard to believe they only lasted for five years after the 1982 bankruptcy.

May 13,2012 will be the 30th year since Braniff 1 claimed bankruptcy. I will never forget that day, thats the day my husband who flew with Braniff lost his job, all his insurance. We had two kids under 3, he worked in a fried chicken restaurant and I worked two jobs it took him 3 years to get back to a flying job, it was a horrible time for us all. So very sad, Cannot believe its been that long. We still miss the Old Braniff, No one had service like we did. Silver in first class, Wow.MISS IT

Way kewl!!!!! What fond memories!! We had names for the planes; The red 72 was the Flying Tomato, the Green and Blue was the Green and Blue Easter Egg, the yellow one was the Flying lemmon, and the orange 747 was Fat Albert!! BI was a great airline!
