The three greatest things that have come out of Gainesville:
1)Less Than Jake
2)Rodney Mullen
3)Less Than Jake

I like this song BUT Less than Jake are NOT a perfect example of SKA. They are a ska-punk band, which is a completely different from the original genre. For an example of real ska listen to Prince Buster or the Skatalites.

Streetlight Manifesto is better.

@dylandgaf17 I appreciate your sentiment, man. But really, if you don't think Less Than Jake are famous, you're looking in the wrong place. You wanna see them on TV daily? That just isn't their thing, man.

Ska has evolved for decades as has every genre. Skatalites, Specials and other bands of the time fall under Wave 3 Ska. In the 90's we saw, what Streetlight Manifesto has called atleast, 4th Wave. It still has strong Jazz, Raggae, and 2 tone influences but with the added kick of punk. Some draw from one branch more than others. like Buck o Nine and even alot of Rancid have strong Raggae and 2 tone with a splash of punk, LTJ just draws more from the Punk influence.
