I'm looking around for a stabilizer eyeing out the Glidecam which one would you recommend my setup is a NIkon d7000 , nikon 24-70mm, and nikon 14-24mm ultra wide both of this lenses are heavy . looking at the HD4000 or would that be to big for my setup

what is the thing he puts on to do those killer shots?

LOL at the resume, "pretty expensive, but some people like expensive things, i guess"
For a pro-grade cam stabilizer this is quite cheap, I would say
-
$800 is so insanely ridiculous for s fucking stablizer. like $250 should be more than profitable for this.
-
@avonsworld Cam Caddie isn't even a Steadicam its a fricken handle how the hell would you run with that? These things are expensive for a reason because they work.

@MrCheesyCam thanks
@MrCheesyCam which is better? Glidcam HD4000 or Steadicam Merlin For 7d/60d/d7000

@Rockadell The HD4000 is too big for the camera itself. It should only be used for heavy setups like camera + lens + light + microphone, etc. Instead you should be looking at the HD1000 or HD2000.

how do you focus ? without disturbing the image ?
guymhahn 5 months ago
@guymhahn Set the lens so that everything is in focus. Change aperture to something like F/5.6-F/8

@MrCheesyCam sometimes you want a nice depth of felid and having everything in focus is undesirable.

@0munkey0 Of course, but then you wouldn't be looking at a Steadicam Merlin. You'll need a heavier Steadicam setup with an electronic (if not wireless) follow focus system.
