@mrstanbmw Well said my friend OV and James Carr were the greatest . Jeez , i still love a bit of Otis or Marvin etc but those two guys deserve MUCH more respect and recognition.

The sad part about this performance was that he was a very sick man and he sounded better than his records what a giant of a talent this man was. I saw the Guitarist Robert Cray perform years ago and it did my heart good because he gave a shout out the brotha O.V. saying that this was the man he idolized growing up. the white folks in the audience didn't have a clue to who he was talking about lord knows I did. You know his boy was the late great James Carr who in my opinion was the greatest.

@lutheringram both amazing artists but the late great dear old o.v just pips it for me-that voice is pure soul, and given the choice i read somewhere it wasn't even his musical preference-being more of a gospel purist-a legend :)
