10/5/2008- 'The Kingdom It's Really Upside Down' - God's unique way of growing his kingdom isn't what we may expect from a king. In fact, many times he flips our expectations completely upside down. In a conversation with the Pharisees in Luke 14, Jesus demonstrates this beautiful uniqueness and reveals the impact it can have
on how we relate to each other in our everyday activities. [Focus Scripture: Luke 14:1-11]

  • There's always room to grow, and it takes a humble heart be open to personal change. I think they're just trying to shed light on the way that christianity embraces the worldly "dog eat dog" mentality more than we always realize, and we need to take the time and use the practices of spirituality to realize how the church is failing at being Christ-like. We ALWAYS have room to grow- He's a perfect God, you know.

  • There something one of the speaker said "we have to develop upside down habits 7:36"

As i read scripture I dont do anything but christ in me.You sound like you still in your carnal nature trying to reprogram your mind to have the mind of christ..That isnt how a born again christian see things, at least for me.

  • Who's the other guy preaching with Boyd? Both of them are excellent... this is really cool stuff.
