mmm Kool-Aid. Tasty Kool-aid.

It appears that neither of you know how it is for a nurse to be employed by Richard Shrushy. HealthSouth was a Corporate Bulldozer that did not care about patient care. All continuing education classes for nurses concerned High Risk Management. Employees are make into Corporate whores if they wanted to stay employed.

my best wishes and prayers are with you! forgot who said something like this 'justice always wins, sometimes excruciatingly slowly from a human perspective, but in the end, justice IS served.'

We're trying damnit. Alot of people are quite passive to act. The good old boy's club is waiste deep in this mess and it discourages upstanding figures from speeking up on the matter.

Year after year we hear about the outrageous hipocracies of so many leading repuglicans figures! The dangers they present to our constitution are undeniable. The similarities to the techniques, employed by proto-fasicsts in Germany in the 1930s are there for all to see. Go to a library, then take an evening to look through the Sebastian Haffner's book: "Defying Hitler: A Memoir"
Now we too, "adapt to living with clenched teeth, in a manner of speaking,' rather than stand up in protest."

Hey Julian, remember this:
"When HealthSouth Corp. Chairman Richard Scrushy orchestrated a special exemption to Alabama's certificate-of-need law last year to win approval for his company's new $300 million digital hospital..."
Still say the CON Board does not regulate?
-
Julian, re: Justice not yet served, I couldn't believe what I was reading. You wrote the CON Board governs hospital expansions. And then 2 paragraphs down wrote the CON board did not, and does not, regulate any health care company in Alabama.
A common example of regulation includes attempts to control market entries.
To write the CON Board does not regulate right after you finished saying the CON governs hospital expansions contradicts itself on its' face.
Nice way to brand yourself a loser. I'll bet you had a really nice uninsured motor vehicle on the Alabama roads. So he deserved to go to jail for protecting drivers from people like you? BTW, it's "mandatory".
