@LateBlt the thing is i remember the sound running on the pc speaker. this is usually not emulated in dos box. pinball dreams used to have amazing sound through the speaker, but you have to choose a sound card to make it work in windows.

Green thing is logo of the game company (Nikita).
Also Nikita has some fun DOS games :)
I don't think Ru-people played this game many hours) We had Prince of Persia 1-2 and other cool games)

you really need to slow your dosbox down. its supposed to be at least half as fast. the bureaucrats dance is supposed to have a cha-cha-cha-rhythm and an audible melody. ;-)

@oooodaxteroooo Yes, I know. I think I mentioned that these don't play in DOSBox. The problem isn't the speed of DOSBox--the problem is that the game's digitized sounds don't play in DOSBox at all.

That cha-cha-cha haunted my nightmares as a young gal. I didn't understand the politics behind this game and the russian song at the beginning frightened me lol.

@Arpeggiato Ah, fond memories!

@LateBlt I found out that the sounds for the game are stored in the .DAT file. If you import it into Audacity (import raw data) and then slow the speed by -80%, you can get the music and the cha cha cha. It was worth it. :)

@Arpeggiato I have to admire the fact that you actually found that out. I've actually known this for a while and was even considering making a follow-up video to demonstrate exactly this. However, while I agree with you that the personal satisfaction of doing this was definitely worth it, I'm not convinced it would be worth a YouTube video... Nonetheless, thanks for the post! :D
