I know I'm going to be made fun of, but games like this are actually getting me to start reading books like Les Miserables and The Tale of Two Cities now. RPGS with lots of dialogue are like Like Hooked on Phonics for me. I'm retarded, but it works.
I'm going to play this game again for a second time.

Planescape and Baldur's Gate! These are sure the milestones of the frp world. After playing these two I couldn't take any taste from any other game. No offence but my favorite character is Minsc and Boo from BG II :D Go for the eyes boooo go for the eyesss :D

Planescape Torment forever.

why have you called him the 'creature who hates all living things'?

@Foaroan Indeed. People think this is a fault of Blizzard or the Warcraft world. Truth is, the warcraft world has a fantasic history. Blizzard are also great at using that history.
The issue is in the repetitive nature of the MMO.
There is one exception however. I played through the Death Knight start area about 2-3 time and thoroughly enjoyed it each time.

Oh, i agree. I never read the text in WOW either. You should probably just take WOW for what it is: an enjoyable hack 'n slash game. If that's not your thing, that's fine. Unlike PS:T (and the Baldur's Gate series) there's no 'depth' to WOW. To me, it's never been more than Diablo with prettier graphics (though Diablo has better gameplay, imo).

@Foaroan From what I remember in wow, 95% if the text in the game is useless and solely aims to provide a small amount of background that, come the next patch, will be utterly disregarded. There is not real incentive to read it because it's mostly boring as hell.
Warcraft 1, 2 & 3 are great. The books I enjoyed. WoW is a grindfest. The literature is just a side project and halfassed.
Torment however, well... If you want to find out who you are, you need it. So the literature has 'reason'.

@Mirkoyanque IIRC, you need a minimum of 19 Wisdom to get the best ending (where you get to resurrect your companions). Mine is always 25 here. If your wisdom is low, you can equip tattoos to raise it.

I'm sorry if i gave the impression i despise WOW. I don't. It's a quite enjoyable hack 'n slash game. And yes, there's a lot of writing in WOW. However, unlike PS:T there's hardly any dialogue in WOW and the interaction with NPC's is minimal. NPC's will usually give you a quest to kill an x amount of mob y. Often, they will deliver an amusing little speech. But that's it. No moral choices, no interaction apart from handing in the quest and receiving your reward.

@Foaroan I tried to use my brain there, but my wisdom's character was too low, lol :(

@Foaroan The irony of this statement is that I'm pretty sure with all of the quests and dialogue and NPCs talking to each other, WoW probably has about as much writing as Planescape Torment (more typos though, I know, it's terrible that I know this).
Only problem is that no one reads the stuff when the shiny Exclamation Point! can tell you where the writing told you to go.

Yes, i'm curious about the scene with Ignus as well. how did you manage it?
Only 21 videos? Is this a bare-bones speed run or is it just a really short game?
