They just did a recall on the nucleus ci500. There are like 50,000 people with that particular CI. When those people get the new CI too, they'll have to pay to have surgery again even if they did not pay the first time. Nucleus will not cover it. No one ever talks about stuff like that though when promoting CI.

I am now twelve years old, and I was implanted since a little bit of 10 years ago. It's now normal to living with that implant. I sit on a normal school, and not a special. That sucks. Just I haven't "war" with children. This becomes not sound xD

@MsThunderstone Do we really need to hear voices and laughters just to appreciate and love our children? Watching them smile is just as precious. I think it is sad that some people depend on sounds just to love and appreciate nature around them. Makes me wonder how much will they love it if there was no sounds and everything is visual. You probably be extremely bored just like people do when they watch silent movies. Just don't treat your children as boring because you can't hear theirlaughter

An unbelivable peace of work! Big respect to the developers. Imagine how much we could invent, not wasting millions on "disputes". I would rather path all those money to those scientiets, who bring so much hapiness in our lifes.

@ahseyi9 I have one implant, and used to wear one hearing aid on the other side, and YES they do hurt your ear!! They constantly ring from noises and it stinks, so I recommend the implant!!!!!!!!!!
