@mk2mike Driven 2. A G60 and a VR6. The GTI has better outward vision, better seats, easier ingress/egress, and a more compliant ride. The G60 and VR6 are wonderful cars, but for all around use I still would prefer a MK2 16v.

@lipsplitter there is no way they are that light. a GTI MK2 16v is waaaay lighter too, despite the higher HP of the G60, a 2 liter Jetta GLI 16v or GTI 16v will go from 0-60 stock in 7.8 seconds. A G60 Corrado? Maybe 8.8 seconds.

@Pintac87 I agree. I drove a 90 in banana yellow sometime in the late 90's. Really enjoyed it, it was plenty quick as well. I drove a friends 92 VR6, and while the shifter was softer and the power was 'right there', I enjoyed the go cart feel of the G60, even the clunky but more direct feeling in some odd way shifter. I bought a 92 GTI 16v in 2000, still have it today and plan to keep it pretty much forever.

I miss my '90. That car was so tight. I still have my supercharger with like 50k mi on it. sigh... dont know what to do with it.
