Just a quick update of our garden. We lost some plants to excessive rain this week. Hopefully things will recover as the weather warms up.

  • @Helioforge Hey Pete! When we used to live in a Apartment we used the balcony to grow vegetables in containers. I've had great success growing in containers and always use it as my backup garden. I've also been trying to collect the rain water with two 18 gallon totes. Both of them are almost full. I'm thinking of mixing some diluted fish & seaweed fertilzer in to those containers for watering the plants.

  • Hey Sumi, Every week you seem to have more and larger garden containers : ) Besides the heavy rains, the main garden looks great! If only there were a way to save all the water for the dry season : )

  • @mhpgardener Yeah I hope the Calabasa seedlings recover. They look so beat up by the rain i have a feeling I'm going to lose them. I may have to restart some new seedlings. Oh well :) Sh*t happens! :)

  • Whoa dude ! You had a backyard pool for awhile there. Its surprising just how resilient plants can be. Just when you think you've lost them, they come right back. Good job.
