In 1952, Red Skelton gave this Thanksgiving Day message to his viewers. This message is just as true today as it was back in 1952. He seemed to be very sincere each week as he ended his great show with "Good night and may God bless" Many people would think he is talking only the communist threat but I believe he was referring to just plain evil acts of all kinds.
I also posted his GREAT explaination of the Pledge Of Allegiance To the Flag.

Here is a link to his Official site:

  • This was during the season when Red filmed his half-hour series (he thought by filming it in advance, on a "stop and go" basis, it would help him become less worried about finishing his shows "on time", and 'block" his sketches better). By the time his sponsor, Procter & Gamble [Tide], and NBC, dropped him at the end of the 1952-'53 season, he moved to CBS, resuming his "live" format.
