  • I can just imagine some awesome half bald Asian guy jamming the shit out of his Casio keyboard. XD

  • The magic of this song is that it takes 1 second to understand that that game will kick your ass!

i miss those days where games got metal and rock music ):

  • @singularity3 ? eh did you hear adventures of Batman and Robin on the SNES? Very different soundtrack, and fits the game better!

We used to get different games for different systems. You'd get, say Animaniacs on SNEs, and maybe see Animaniacs on Genesis/Megadrive, and they'd be two different games. Nowadays everythings just made for porting.....

  • @mistertitanic Well, the genesis had a much more flexible VDP, that's probably why. Not many games were really able to make the most of the SNES's high sprite limits, Super Turrican 2 and especially Rendering Ranger are two of the best though.

  • @singularity3 Yeah it could have more oin screen. But it lagged far more often. Thats my point.

  • @mistertitanic The Genesis supported 80 on screen and 20 per line. The SNES could draw 34 per line and up to 128 on screen at once. It doesn't get any more clear than that.

  • @singularity3 Actually, The Genesis could handle more sprites than the Snes could. The Genesis could support a max of 80 on the screen at once, and had less lag than the Snes. Take a look at Final Fight and Streets of Rage, How many enemies appear on screen at once? FF usually has 3 or less. Sometimes SoR has 10! At one point I counted 12!

  • @SonicTheJackrabbit You're right about the SNES having better graphical capabilities, it can draw more sprites on screen, and with more colors as well. Technically the SNES sound chip is more "advanced", but it usually sounds muffled, whereas the Genesis sounded somewhat clearer. They were both great, but better for different things, the SNES couldn't have done Adventures of Batman and Robin, or Streets of Rage very well, and the Genesis couldn't have done Chrono Trigger either.
