    hello. thank you for your comment. i'll go ahead and address your question...

    did you notice that the canvas is a bit cream colored on the edges and white for most of its area before I actually begin painting it? the white is gesso that i applied to prep the canvas. i have left this painting unstretched, and it hangs as a tapestry. i suppose if someone wanted to stretch it, one could, but my purpose was to leave it loose.

  • Nice. I was a bit distracted by the cute butt though. My problem, not yours. Do you leave the painting unstretched, or do you mount it in some way. If you're leaving it unstretched, do you still prime with gesso?
