A quick test of a beetleweight drive platform. Four 15:1 MFA motors with 60mm diameter Banebots wheels running on an 11.1V lipo. Controlled by a Scorpion XL temporarily.
@MrAmazingScott It's going to be a mini version of the heavyweight Pussycat, so it'll have a spinning blade on it, most probably driven by a brushless electric motor.
@Headbanger142 No idea about whether they were about to go out of business.
The Banebots wheels have only recently become available on Technobots, and since that's a UK based supplier, it makes buying them much easier. They also do hex hub adapters that fit directly on to the MFA motors used on this robot, which makes mounting everything really nice and easy. In my eyes, they're two very good bonus points about them :-)
@K3Gaming Cheers - 650g according to some crappy kitchen scales. Leaves me just over half for the rest of it, which I think is do-able but it might be tight.

I see the UK Beetles are really falling in love with those Banebots wheels.
And weren't Banebots about to go out of business last year?
