Jazz bass titan Ray Brown (1926 - 2002) shares the stage with great tenor sax player Michael Brecker (1949 - 2007), Swede guitar ace Ulf Wakenius, wunderkinds Danish/Vietnamese Niels Lan Doky on piano and Terri Lyne Carrington on drums (her grandfather Matt, had played with Fats Waller and Chu Berry), on "Ray's New Funk" where Ray Brown proves he can funk it up with the best of 'em. The one note rhythm work he does with Terri Lyne at the 7min mark is brilliant. Killer stuff from everyone involved, really like Ulf as well.
