Todd has not delivered these past 2 years. The Endgame arc was empty and pointless, and I just cannot wait for a real art team to jump on board so we don't have more delays, corner-cutting, and quite possibly the worst storytelling in Spawn history.

Since this video aired, Spawn has climbed more than 30% in sales and continues to climb.
I checked a bunch of comic sales websites and they all say the same thing.....SPAWN IS MAKING A HUGE COMEBACK!
Just not as Al Simmons.
I don't care what anyone says....SPAWN STILL RULES AND THAT'S WHY I STILL READ HIS COMIC BOOKS!

I only just recently learned about the death of Al Simmons (I fell out of the comics scene in the mid-90s), but this makes me want to really catch up. It sounds like an interesting new direction. Was always a fan of Todd McFarlane. People give him lots of crap, but I think he's a great artist and a creative storyteller.

what i'd like to see and a lot of people who've followed mcfarlane over the years is Todd Mcfarlane writing, pencilling and inking Spawn. that's it. that's the secret formula todd. Spawn is your CREATION. You mentioned it used TO BE on the Top of Sales charts of comic books. You are correct. i like a lot of people used to buy spawn. that was waaayyy back when spawn was $1.95. i odn't have anything against Whilce Portacio (who came aboard as penciller on issue #185)
