Please note the weapons used by the characters in this clip. They are Mauser C96s with scopes and extra details on the barrels added to make them look more futuristic. Star Wars fans will recognize the Mausers immediately. Han Solo's blaster in Star Wars was also a modified Mauser C96.

@pele6922 Maybe they told Count Dooku, "Why do you sound like that evil wizard guy with the Orcs? Are you double-franchising on us, old man??"

The original Star Trek series was so damn slow. Everyone spoke and moved slowly. Doctor Who is a much better show. The Brits speak faster than we Yanks do. And there wasn't that constant pretentious bombastic background music.

What do you reckon a Draconian's willy looks like?
-
@Nomoreidsleft "Draconian" is also a word used for very strict measures or adherence to the rules, and considering how rule-oriented they are, it makes sense.
-
@dreckonia Depends on the series. TOS was just as cornball-ish as this :)

The Draconians are very draconian. I guess humans named then Draconians because they look like dragons for the Latin draco. But why would they call themselves a Latin name. Maybe Latin is a universal galactic language.

People will remember their favourite stories and moments for decades to come. In comparison who will remember what happened on I'm A Celebrity a week after it finishes.

You've never heard of Hichiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Doctor Who? Torchwood: Children of Earth? The Quatermas Experiment? Blake's 7? Doctor Who is ten times better than Star Trek.
I disagree with you - the BBC has produced some of the best science fiction ideas. Doctor Who was produced, I think, under the children's serial budget - which meant it didn't get of money - the budgets then were say one tenth of the budget for an episode of the the original series of Star Trek and that was not a lavish budget.

They managed to make a very good story about intergalactic politics with two different races, many locations, orgrons, the master and even the daleks at the end on what must have been a fraction of the budget given to an episode of the new series. Learn from your history BBC!
