Dreydl, aka "the Dreidle Song" perfomed by Rubinchik's Yiddish Ensemble (Mark Rubin on bass, Ben Saffer on clarinet, Don Weeda on accordion) featuring Cantor Neil Blumofe on vocals. A jive tune possibly, but the rhumba in minor gives it some swing. Dig it.

    Neyn, dos vord "nisht" = not

    "gornisht" = northing

    And the language you would associate with this song is Yiddish, not Hochdeutch i.e. standard German. Yiddish is based on Medieval High German.
