Who benefits from the Obama Administration's immigration enforcement strategy? asks Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky.
In June, the Red Roof Inn in Hoffman Estates fired 5 immigrant women who had cleaned the hotel for a combined total of 40 years. The firings come in wake of the Obama Adminstration's policy of enforcing immigration laws by targeting employers. Because the women had earned seniority benefits--such as 4 vacation weeks and pay above minimum wage--by firing them, the Red Roof Inn will save thousands of dollars in labor costs. So, who is profiting and who is being hurt by Obama's Administrative Raids?
The pending deportations of star university students such as Rigo Padilla (featured here) and the firings of hard-working parents who sustain families that produce stellar kids like Rigo, such as the Red Roof Inn housekeepers, must serve someone's interests. Why not call the Red Roof Inn and ask them?
