The UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen is entering its final phase as participants have just two days left to hammer out a new global warming deal. Representatives from from one hundred and ninety three nations are taking part. The main sticking point in the difficult discussion concerns payouts from rich countries to developing nations to help combat climate change. RT talks to Lars Seier Christensen who recently published a book which questions the science behind global warming. He says it's too early to make big decisions on climate change.

  • I won't be able to attend the Global Warming conference this year. Too much snow on the runways...

  • Anyone find it ironic that there is a blizzard going on outside copenhagen while they sit inside and try to find a way to stop global warming.

  • @vaasnaad i agree, but stupid is a bit harsh. let's just say they are opinionated. if someone is not a climate scientist with peer review paper published in scientific journal, then any opinion on global warming they have is purely a personal opinion. we are all welcome to our personal opinions. but when making policy on this topic i think we should trust expert opinions from experts on climate scientis with peer reviewed papers...etc.

  • The reason we don't debate is because there IS no debate among those qualified and intelligent enough to have opinions on it, and taking time out to address complete retards like you gives the implication that retards like you actually have a point. You don't know what you are talking about - there are a LOT of people on this planet smarter than you can possibly imagine who actually understand this stuff. The fact you don't agree means that you are STUPID, not that they are wrong.

  • My word. There are many 'heated' reviews floating around this article. People, come on, man-made global warming is utter nonsense. Don't confuse pollution with climate change; they are entirely separate issues. Much of environmentalism stems out of feel-goodery; it gives people a cause and makes them feel noble P.S. protecting mother earth from the evil actions of humankind. Virtue is a powerful emotion; it makes people feel vindicated in their own self-righteousness!

  • @ridewave444 the oceans are only raising at a foot every three hundred years

  • Poll the average ignorant person and they'll say CO2 is a pollutant. They'll say whatever the media tells them.

  • @Richard482 tl;dw

  • @SirTorment That depends what you mean by a pollutant

  • @pwolff1177

    (A) It's called anthropoGENIC global warming

    (B) CO2 is not a pollutant.

  • Figures. A fucking greedy, douchebag banker. These fuckers would need all of Florida to be underwater for them to say global warming MIGHT exist. That's why the public needs to listen to scientists of course. He lies about there being a debate about human caused global warming in science, yet he keeps talking about using technology to solve potential problems. Where the hell do you think technology COMES from you stupid fucktard?

  • Of course the climate is changing. Its called a Dynamic system for a reason.
