So the Grandparents didn't know that they shouldn't use diaper rash cream with Jayden's CLOTH diapers. ahhhhhhhh I know!! I literally felt sick when I found out. But no worrries after a little bit of TLC and a good stripping they are as good as new : )

  • What kind of dawn do you have? just original? I got Tide free and gentle laundry detergant for now until i get rockin green that should be fine right?

  • @matthewsmomma07 Yep just the original. I do not think Tide free and gentle is safe for cloth diapers and I wouldn't recommend using it. I would definitely try to get rockin green as soon as possible : ) The biggest mistake people make when using cloth diapers is using a wrong detergent. Using detergents thats aren't cloth diaper safe can cause a lot of problems.

  • My Mother in Law used fabric softener without telling me either... I was sooooooooo mad. How well did this type of striping work? I normally strip in mine in my wash machine but I do have a top loading machine. How do you like the Rockin Green detergent. I am considering getting some after we are out of our current detergent.

  • @Parkerfur Oh grandparents!! LOL. This method works great! I have never tried any other stripping method besides this so I can't compare it to anything. but it definitely makes Jayden's diapers be like brand new again!! We also LOVE our Rockin Green!!!!!! Mainly because we have hard water. We were originally using Country Save which worked fine but I was having to add Calgon to it to soften the water. Now I just use the formula for Hard water and I don't have to add anything extra : )

  • Anyone looking for the best cloth diaper cream, try Dari Natural's Tropical Butter. It's the best thing ever!!!

  • He is so adorable ! I'm hoping you read this soon.

I have some new diapers I want to use, but I havent gotten my diaper safe detergent so I'm wondering if using dawn in the washer(just a bit, top load machine) would work ok to prep them?

    Thanks !

  • @08jaydensmommy08 Thank you :)

Yeah I wasnt sure if it was! I only have 3 cloth diapers so far and I have 3 on the way Kawaii.

  • Prefolds make good dusting cloths when your done with them

  • Watching this, makes me glad my diaper days are over with.

  • thank you :-)

  • @Crystal110987 yep a flannel liner would work great! Just don't wash them, in the same load as ur diapers or that will defeat the purpose of protecting the diapers from the cream : )
