Janis had wonderful insight for a young person.

@redsoxfan1 I didn't think she was trying to do anything; she was giving her opinion, and it wasn't any less valid than Chet's or Janis'. She wasn't all tits and legs. Give her some credit.

Wow! A talk show where the guests have an actual, unscripted conversation. How times have changed.

I disagree with the comment Raquel makes about everyone having to compromise in order for things to work. If everyone compromises their opinons to fit each others, we all become one blob of the same ideas. Yes, we may work nicely together, however there is no variety or change. And that's not healthy, in my opinion. Hearty disagreements are what have made this world go round for many years. I agree with Janis. It is necessary to understand other's points of views, it avoids complete chaos.

If Chet is shaking his head at what NBC and MSNBC are doing now, he'll be the lead story on news programs around the World. Chet Huntley died in 1974.
You've got to give Chet a lot of credit for not giving Rackswell Welch the up - down - all around -once over.
As Jackie Gleason used to say " humanuh humanuh humanuh"

Spoken like a true right wing extremist. You're right there is no need to debate: Then again: Those who can't artculate (such as yourself), fight. You've already proven my point, Tea Bagger. I'm finished having sex with you, Puck: You bore me and you really weren't that stimulating.
-
Oh, and I could give a flying f**k about debating you, First! You're IQ has to be higher then your bowling score (in your case it ain't). Second! Probably in the middle I'm sure you would have to stop and ask you're mom to drive you to the Bus Station so you could make a few bucks. So you could grab a few quarter pounders (you already got the special sauce) on the way home . You want to take cheap-shots like all libs do. I'll throw it right back in you're face.

I thought we were talking about today jackass. but you far-left jagoffs always like to chage the subject. So to bring you back to the present since all left-loons have ADD. Huntley would love a screaming screwball? (ED) A guy who gets a tingle when Obama speakes (Matthews)? Somebody who has to run out of the room because he can't report a republican win (olby)? and a supposed smartest woman who doesn't know there's a preamble to the Constitution? suck the tea-bag like you suck a dick a-hole.

I would have loved to have debated you but since you cannot articulate English & I do not speak nor understand raving lunatics (neither left-wing extremist, nor right-wing neo-cons as yourself, snack-ass), but I'll this: It was "Flavor Aid," not "Kool-Aid;" Secondly I actually watched Huntley-Brinkley, Walter Cronkite and ABC Evening News with Howard K. Smith (Smith was considered the conservative & a Nixon supporter). When you decide to pull the Tea Bag out of your ass, watch the video again.
Janis is heart and soul, Raquel, body nd brain

I agree with Mr. Huntley that all sides, liberal and conservative, are represented in the press. But the pendulum in media seems to always swing toward one viewpoint or the other. We live in such a polarized society that there is little balance.
And I agree with Janis. You don't have to agree with one another but you can try to understand the opposing views of others.
