  • im afraid I disagree. If you have a very very well trained horse you don't need to do anything at all, all she needs to do for a flying change is a twitch in the right place and away he goes. For example, I rode an ex dressage horse who went on the bit naturally without me doing anything or even knowing how to put it on the bit!

  • aaamen!!!!!! To be honest any rider can be "good" on a fantastic horse, I bet you that horse has been trained to a high level and she's just told what to do. I'd like to see her ride some of the horses that some people here on youtube have! She wouldn't last five seconds!

  • grr makes me mad she sucks....if you want a real show..horse drill team is the one to go to....

  • she doesnt even give the horse the aid to change leads... and then when she goes into the corner she is on the wrong lead... such a waste of a beautiful horse.

  • id love to see her riding at HOYS on any other horse, that would be a joke

  • katie price really can't ride, i've seen the horses, what a waste. the only thing that would justify it would be if a good rider jumped on them, aka fox-pitt or townsend.

  • How much does her body have to rock please?

So easy to do well when the horse is trained properly to a high level, but to train one yourself while removing bad habits others have given it is a task! She can afford to have the work done for her

  • Do you know how many people "buy" their talent where dressage and other "sporting" events like this are concerned? It is part of the game. She is doing what anyone else in her shoes (boots) would do. I mean, seriously, wouldn't you??

  • *shakes hand* ;)

  • Ah so this isnt a constructive conversation about horsemanship then, you just hate Katie. Fair enough, lets leave it there then as it will just go on and on round in circles.

  • She didn't qualify to get into HOYS, she got in almost certainly because she's Jorden. She has lessons every day and its easy to choragraph and learn the moves on a well trained horse. She doesn't do many competitions, she drapes herself over horses to show off her tits and new clothing range. But I agree, if you are doing a solo competition you sorta do need to know what your doing, but she doesn't.

  • I've ridden horses who will go on the bit fair enough, but going on the bit and doing all the movements at competition level is not the same thing, and you cant expect to compete at any level if you are just relying on the horse to know the changes.

Obviously ANY dressage horse worth his salt is well trained, I dont see why thats a bad thing or why it makes the rider a bad rider.

Unaffiliated then maybe you can just let the horse go routine, but at HOYS??!
