  • Joe - you preach form, so what was up with you head coming up each rep? Don't you put straing on your neck vertabrae doing so????

  • I'm stronger in the DB bench when i kind of "crunch up" and then throw my head back when I press up. It creates somewhat of a "spring" for me. (I'm not comfortable doing this with barbell bench for some reason, though.)

And no, lifting your head 2 inches off the bench isn't going to place too much strain on your neck...unless you're an 80-year-old women with osteoporosis!!

  • What was the purpose of this vid.

Shows DB presses with good form.

But from the title it seems that there is a story behind this vid.

  • A friend bet me $100 that I couldn't get 20 reps w/ the 100lb. DB's...and I don't like to lose bets.
