  • His 90's IFS Toyota pu runs 35" ProComp MT's, makes around 350hp, andhe beats the snot out of that thing with no problems. He has upgraded the axles and hubs over the ten years he's been running this setup but ran stock IFS axles for years. It looks like it has the front ground clearance of an H1.

  • @jaylor75 is it the 22R-E or the 3VZ-E? I'm guessing a 3VZ-E if it's putting out 350HP or a chevy 350 swap.

  • Potsmoker5000, why on earth would you consider putting a solid axle in tje front of an XTerra?? The IFS is far superior in ground clearance off road and on road (where I'm sure you spend 99.9% of your time) is where it really shines. Don't believe the magazine and the aftermarket companies brainwashing you into believing in solid axle convert unless you plan on upping your HP significantly and running larger than 35" tires. A good friend of mine run a 90's Toyota pickup with IFS, a sbc making 3

  • @jaylor75 i wouldn't i would buy a toyota, thats my friends xterra.

  • @jaylor75 You are right though leaving it with the IFS would be better. My friend is all about the solid fronts, i think he likes Bouldering more than getting in the mud and snow. more than it's funny though because he never wants to go offroading (because he always gets stuck.) LOL. I'm a big Toyota fan for sure.

  • @jaylor75 You are right IFS would be much better for this thing but my friend is all about solid fronts for some reason. I think he likes trail driving more than getting in the mud and the snow, trail driving like over big rocks and shit. also lift kits for that thing are hard to come by, most of them consist of installing a solid front axle.

  • @potsmoker5000 they looked so dreamy and i like that the axel is above the tire center cause them things get ya stuck when low. you should change the exhaust on your xterra make it more like a snorkel type of exhaust, cause im not sure with your vehicle if the exhaust pipes are exposed on the undercarriage or if you have a carriage cage.

  • @NerdForMIT indeed, they are the shit.

  • @potsmoker5000 well no but i googled them and they look pretty serious. the axel center is above the wheel center. interesting...

  • @NerdForMIT Have you seen the Unimog 404 Portal axels?
