  • I'm just terrified that Rory's going to end up being the "good man" that River kills because there's been a ton of speeches that you think are going to be about the Doctor but end up being about Rory instead. And we keep having episodes where the Doctor does some not nice things and Rory isn't happy with that.

  • Amy does not deserve Rory. At all. He waited 2000 years and didn't give her any crap about it. She spent the episode guilting him about how she waited 36 years.

  • Hi kayley, kayley robsham is better than you

  • @alm24601 you feel that way too? cause im so scared they will do that, if you remember in the god complex he was talking about even the small victories that people overcome and how they seem to be making rory more like the doctor. its making me nervous! i dont want him to die!......i mean like again.

  • I found this episode so sad, especially the ending. None of my friends did though, they all thought I was being too sensitive.

It was one of my favourites so far of this half-series, although I was very shocked when the doctor shut the door, it didn't seem like a very doctor-ish thing to do.

Rory is one of my favourite companions yet though, and it seems like he's becoming everything the doctor should be but isn't this series.

  • I thought it had a great premise. But. The writing. Was embarrassing.

  • @alm24601 I thought is was established that the Doctor was the man she killed? Time can be rewritten ! :)

  • Something you have to understand in the episode and the timelines of the whoverse is that when the doctor intervenes in the timeline of an individual it becomes fixed, and basically he cant change anything really before he met them or it would create a crippling paradox. Because of this when the doctor and rory show up and meet the future Amy, that always will be the REAL Amy. That's it. The other is a past time tangent if they change things that isn't REALLY gonna be her. Real Amy is gone now.

  • @Brenders98 Absolutely right, Rory chose to stay and besides that, he knew the Doctor was eventually coming and he was an immortal Automaton that didn't age or die and could interact with the world. Amy was all alone for 36 years with just an interface and a pet-droid and didn't know if the Doctor and Rory were coming and she aged. The line at the end where old Amy says to Rory that she's giving the years she couldn't spend with Rory to young Amy is a perfect example of that.

  • @JediSlayer22 THANKS!

  • @daniebananiee In The Eleventh Hour, when the Doctor is writing the computer virus, he tells the experts to spread it through various means including Twitter.

  • This episode made me sad, but I'm a deep person. ;)

I think I'm tired, not of the Amy/Rory relationship, but of the dark tone of the last 3 episodes, both literally and metaphorically. I feel like I just want a good old classic monster romp, like we had in curse of the black spot. Maybe I wouldn't notice it so much if it wasn't for the gap, but there it is.
