Joule Thief Test circuit lighting 2 LEDs. One LED is 28,500 MCD and the other is 265,000 MCD. Each LED requires about 4.5 vdc each to light. Circuit is powered by single AA battery. More can be read about these experiments on Overunitydotcom in the Joule Thief topic. The transistor is an N3904 and the resistor is 1k. A Bifilar wound ferrite bead is used for the coil. It is wound with 22 ga. stranded wire. I have been able to light 400 leds from a single AA battery using a similar circuit. The JT circuit is not free energy by itself but, I am planning on running this from my earth battery, which is free energy, and this will light more lights. More videos to come.
