In golf, a hybrid club looks more like a wood than an iron, and as a result, a golfer shouldn't play the ball as forward as they think. Learn about the sweeping motion of a hybrid golf shot with tips from a golf instructor in this free video on hybrid golf clubs.

I was golfing today and borrowed a friends hybrid. I hit it well but found that i was hitting about 20yards further using 3/4 irons for a similar feeling connection. Is this normal because the hybrid certainly looks like it should hit further?

i seriously doubt conan put that ball out the same distance he would when using a four iron. which is where i find difficulty in using the hybrid. to be able to float around 200 and have the forgiveness or control of my hybrid and forgo the iron.

didn't the 3 and 5 woods replace the 1 and 2 irons.
